Good For You
It's no surprise that our scooters are good for the environment. Check out VESPANOMICS
However, phrases such as "environmentally aware" and "completely reliable" don't help you grasp fully how easy and fun the scooter lifestyle is.
Wondering about your scooter's impact on the environment? You can breathe easy: Vespa and Piaggio scooters comply with CARB (California Air Resources Board) standards-the most stringent environmental regulations in the country regarding noise and exhaust emissions. At Piaggio, we also strive to minimize how our industrial practices affect the environment. Our new automated painting systems apply non-toxic, water-based paints; a modern liquid and gaseous waste treatment plant substantially reduces the factory's environmental impact.

Licensing
If you opt for the two-wheel rush of riding a scooter, Pennsylvania does require that you have a motorcycle license (Class M) for all engine sizes over 50cc's as a verification, of sorts, that you are a safe and responsible rider. But before this can happen, you first need a permit from the Department of Transportation.

Rider Education
Riding a scooter is safe, easy, and fun. If you are an experienced automobile driver and bicycle rider, you will have no trouble handling the lightweight, automatic transmission of the Vespa or Piaggio series.
The Motorcycle Safety Program (MSP) was established to teach riders of all skill levels the basic fundamentals needed in order to safely operate a motorcycle or scooter. The MSP was created from legislation in 1984 and began one year later. The Motorcycle Safety Program is FREE to all Pennsylvania license holders. To date, over 250,000 people have taken the MSP.

Insurance
Now that you've found the scooter for you, it's time to get it insured. But before you call just any insurance agent, you will want to learn how the insurance company decides your rate.
